Ek Kutumb

Who we are

We bring together expertise and collaboration to deliver research that is both rigorous and practical.

Grounded in the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—that the world is one family—our work benefits from the establishment of partnerships and collaborations that bridge disciplines, sectors and communities to produce insights that are locally grounded and practically relevant.

Our approach

1. Listen Deeply:

We engage with communities to understand values, worldviews and lived realities.

2. Analyse Rigorously:

Our multidisciplinary team applies social science methods to uncover patterns and insights.

3. Translate into Action:

We work with partners to turn insights into practical strategies, tools and decisions.

Our Team

Our multidisciplinary team of social scientists, polling experts and data analysts work alongside leading advisors, experts and research partners to ensure our research is methodologically robust and actionable. We aim to collaborate closely with communities, Government, philanthropic funders, corporations and other key stakeholders across India to ensure that our work is shaped by real-world priorities and guided by a pragmatic approach.

Christine Winston

Research Manager

Christine is a published researcher with a PhD in psychology who works at the intersection of research and advocacy communication. She believes that people are the experts of their own lives, and that meaningful climate action begins with listening. At Ek Kutumb, she uses psychological theory and measurement as tools to listen to how people experience, interpret, and respond to climate change. She then translates what she hears into stories that honor the rich, complex realities of those who call this country home.

Ishna Singh

Research Manager

Ishna brings experience across climate finance, sustainable development, and collaborative research, with a focus on how systems can respond more thoughtfully to the needs of communities. She is drawn to work that listens closely, builds trust across partners, and translates insight into action. At Ek Kutumb, she manages projects and partnerships that support inclusive, climate-resilient pathways rooted in shared values and lived realities.
